The HEZHEN PM8S Santoku Knife combines a sharp 15° edge with a distinctive dark, textured blade finish. Made from 3-layer 10Cr15CoMov steel and hardened to 58–62 HRC, it offers a good balance of sharpness, durability and everyday ease of use.
The blade undergoes a special surface treatment that creates a dark oxide layer after heat treatment. It is then finished with stone washing and sand blasting, giving the blade its characteristic vintage frosted appearance. The result is a subtle, textured surface rather than a glossy polished finish, making each knife visually distinctive.
At 7 inches, the Santoku blade is well suited to everyday kitchen work, including slicing, dicing and chopping vegetables, meat and other ingredients. The 15° edge provides a fine cutting feel, while the 2.4 mm blade thickness keeps the knife practical for regular home cooking.
The Japanese-style octagonal handle combines redwood and buffalo horn, providing a comfortable grip and balanced feel in the hand. At approximately 162 g, the knife is light enough for everyday use while still feeling substantial.
